A collaborative screening between UT's Visual Arts Center and We Luv Video. A screening of the BBC Series Ways of Seeing which is four 30 minute episodes discussing aesthetics, art, and culture from 1972. In the beloved four-part series made for public broadcast, Berger invites people to join him in the act of looking at and thinking about art. He looks closely at oil paintings, portraits of women, and advertisements to clarify the arrangements of power, class, gender, and race behind works of art, and asks viewers to relate these arrangements to their own lives. The series was produced by Mike Dibb and adapted into a book of the same name.
