This stunning and deranged neo-noir is Abel Ferrara's follow-up to Ms. 45, and that makes perfect sense.
The first of Ferrara's films to receive a budget from a major studio, FEAR CITY follows an ex boxer-turned showgirl booking agent (played by Tom Berenger) who teams up with copper Billy Dee Williams to save his clients from one of the most truly memorable on-screen serial killers, who also happens to know Kung Fu. (Because, you know, it's the 80's and it's the next evolution of serial killing.)
The perfect casting includes Rae Dawn Chong, Michael Gazzo and Melanie Griffith as a lady in trouble. If you want to see a sleazy OTT knock out, then this one's for you.
